Events 4 & 5 —– September 11th and 12th
Bonneville Vintage Trials, Tooele, UT
AHRMA National and Regional Trials
All riders and all trials bikes are welcome at this event.
There will be a class available for all levels of skill. Beginner line for those riders who may have not ridden before, or might be intimidated with some of the sections they have seen.
For modern riders, the “no stop” rule will drive you crazy. It’s an easy rule: the front axle must proceed forward, at all times. A big bite of a front disk brake can get you a “5″ in a heartbeat.
There will be lots of old trials bikes, some back to the 1940′s. I will be competing on a newer bike, a James Commando, 1953. It’s also fun to see how good the top-line riders are on these old bike. It’s almost like they have done it before. After riding some of the old iron, you will be impressed as to how good the “old timers” had to be.
Kids (12 and under) classes will be divided so that the most number of First Place awards can be given.
There should be a couple of old TY’s some new riders can ride. So come try your hand at history.
The first ever Utah Summer Games Trials event is this weekend! This will be a multi State event with great weather. If you don’t have any plans or want some great entertainment, come to the Three Peaks Recreation area near Cedar City, Utah. Go to utahtrials.com or Click HERE to find out more info or email me at andy@ridetrials.org. Cant wait to see you there!
www.UtahTrials.com has a lot of info and pictures of the area –

We now have a 2010 Standings to check on your progress. Check it out on our Utah page, or view the standings report directly by clicking here.
Good Afternoon,
Many of you know that we have been busy working with the State of Utah to develop a Trials area at the Jordan River OHV Park in Salt Lake City. We’re there! For those of you that have ridden at the Jordan River OHV park you’ll possibly recognize the area where they have held ATV and new rider training classes north of the park entrance (by the offices and grass/picnic area). This is perhaps the closest and most convenient area of the park. Now comes the part where we hope you can help us out. If you are aware of any business or individuals that have the following materials or skills that they can donate to help us build our sections:
Because the State does not want this area to look like a dump, we need to submit what we propose to construct in advance for approval or rejection. Photo’s of any potential donations are appreciated. Any additional ideas to the attached drawings would be most appreciated. And anyone with architectural skills that can draw renderings better than my attached chicken scratches please step forward.
The State is willing to provide a certificate of donation for materials supplied for the park. (That spells tax deduction to some of you) And they are willing to allow free entrance to riders for a designated period of time to those that perform service creating this Trials Area. It is my hope that some of you will volunteer to manage the construction of a section or two and that many will show up when we set up work days. I spoke with many riders at the Redcreek meet who mentioned they knew of materials I have listed above. Please be specific and get me names, addresses and phone numbers so we can move forward.
Thanks everyone! Hope we all have fun in Emery tomorrow!
